ENGINEERS are installing a pressure release valve in Romsey’s Hundred in a bid to prevent water leaks.

Southern Water is behind the work which is expected to last until early next month.

A company spokesman said: “It will enable us to better manage water pressure in the area and help prevent leaks.

“We have worked closely with local traders to ensure the installation is completed ahead of the Christmas period to minimise the effect on their businesses. Our supplier Clancy Docwra is carrying out the work on our behalf.”
