A ROBBER walked off with a set of car speakers from a shop in Southampton after threatening to stab the sales assistant if he came near him.
He showed the assistant a screwdriver he had up his sleeve and threatened to stab him again when he was followed outside and grabbed by the jacket.
The 26-year-old shop assistant stepped back, fearing that he would be stabbed, and the man walked off with the bass kit up Portsmouth Road towards the Itchen Bridge.
The robbery happened at Motorworld in Bridge Road, Woolston, at 3pm on Thursday.
The robber was described as white, in his early 30s, 5ft 8in, of skinny/medium build with dark brown, short hair and facial stubble.
He was wearing a navy padded thigh-length coat, blue jeans, a chequered shirt and black trainers.
He had two visible tattoos. One said ‘Dad’ and was written on the top of his left wrist, while the second was a form of old English-style writing on the right side of his neck.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
