THE search has begun to find Hampshire’s next beauty queen.

Representatives from Front Models began scouring the county this week in a bid to find the next Miss Hampshire.

Talent spotters will be casting their eye over Hampshire and the Isle of Wight during the next two months, as they attempt to unearth the region’s finest young woman aged between 17 and 24.

A judging panel will then select a group of 30 finalists to take part in the Miss Hampshire pageant in February.

The winner of that contest will automatically receive a place in the Miss England grand final in April, where they will battle it out to represent their country in the prestigious Miss World contest.

Former Miss England and manager of Front Models, Laura Coleman, said: “We are looking for bright, beautiful and confident young ladies between the ages of 17 and 24 from across the county, to take part in the Miss Hampshire & Isle of Wight competition.

“I am sure there are plenty of aspiring beauty queens living, working or studying in the Southampton area.

“We are urging anyone who thinks they have got what it takes to be the next Miss England to come forward and take part in a competition, which promises to take them on a journey like no other.”

Models from across the county can enter the competition before and up until Friday, January 27, 2012.

The 30 finalists will be announced in February and will each be required to raise £150 in sponsorship.
