A BENEFIT fraudster has been fined £20,000 and ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work.
Marian Rae made false representations on housing benefit claim forms by failing to tell council chiefs her husband was employed.
She received overpayments of £20,000 in housing and council tax benefits which must now be paid back to Gosport Borough Council.
Rae, of Rydal Road, Gosport, changed her not guilty plea to guilty on the day of her trial at Portsmouth Crown Court where she was facing two charges under the Social Security Administration Act 1992.
