A PENSIONER has been banned from driving after admitting drink-driving and failing to stop after an accident.
Peter Quick, 80, of Winchester, reversed his silver Lexus into a car at Winchester railway station on August 14 while over the alcohol limit.
Winchester Magistrates’ Court heard that the driver of the other car, who was standing outside her vehicle, was knocked down. She suffered minor whiplash injuries.
Marcus Sears, mitigating, said that his client was unaware of the collision, feeling only a bump. Magistrates disqualified Quick from driving for 20 months, ordered him to take a re-test, fined him £400 for each offence and instructed him to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
