Police in Hampshire are appealing for information following a report of an indecent assault on a woman.
It is reported the assault took place on Monday, November 28 between 2.30 and 3pm in Arundel Street, Portsmouth, behind the Labour club.
A 42-year-old woman was walking home after shopping at ASDA.
She was walking in the park to the rear of the Labour Club, along the back of the houses on Wimpole Street when a man approached her.
He indecently assaulted her before trying to steal a bag of wrapped Christmas presents she was carrying. The offender is described as white man, aged 55-60 years old, with grey hair, of average build and wearing a dark blue waist length jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Hampshire Police on 101.
