Virus led to baby’s death
A MYSTERY illness caused the death of a five month old baby born with a range of health problems, an inquest heard.
Kenzie Bardell, of Lawford Way, Totton, who had heart and brain abnormalities, was admitted to Southampton General Hospital on February 2, an inquest heard.
Southampton Coroner’s Court heard how Kenzie died soon after from an inflammation of his upper airway, although the virus that caused it could not be pinpointed.
A verdict of death by natural causes was recorded.
