SOUTHAMPTON’S Town Quay marina, pictured left, has been awarded four gold anchors by the Yacht Harbour Association.
The small ABP owned 130 berth marina, which sits adjacent to the port’s state-of-the-art cruise terminals, now ranks alongside the best in the country.
The marina scored very highly on its berth holder questionnaires and the mystery shopper also gave the marina top marks.
Town Quay Marina manager Lex Bancroft said: “We are delighted to have received four gold anchors from TYHA and it is testament to the team to receive such a high rating for a marina this size.
“The investment last winter enabled us to rejuvenate the marina, creating a vibrant and welcoming environment to moor a boat in the city centre.
“As a small marina we are able to offer a genuinely personal service and continue to strive to offer the best possible customer service experience.”
