Police are appealing for witnesses to a ten-vehicle crash in Hampshire.
The collision happened aton the northbound carriageway of the A3M at Waterlooville.
The cars involved were: a black Saab, silver Nissan Almera, blue Renault Laguna, white Volkswagen panel van, a silver Vauxhall Astravan, a white Vauxhall van, a blue Ford Mondeo, blue Peugeot 206, a blue Toyota Corolla and a silver Vauxhall Astra.
The driver of the white Vauxhall van, a 36-year-old man from the Southampton area, was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
It has now been confirmed that his injuries are less serious than first suspected.
The driver of the Peugeot, a 23-year-old woman from Waterlooville sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to call Sgt Paul Diamond on 101.
