MORE people in Southampton searched online for Strictly Come Dancing than anywhere else in the country, it has emerged.
Search engine Google has analysed what people have searched for during the course of the year and compiled a series of top ten lists based on subjects and location.
Southampton topped the list of online searches for Strictly Come Dancing, which this series featured Dan Lobb, who is from Hampshire, and culminates with this weekend’s final.
Residents in the city also apparently love a bargain, with more people in Southampton searching online for ‘Vouchers’ during 2011 than any other area of the UK.
It also revealed that Southampton is a city of foodies – ranking fourth in searches for ‘Recipe’ – behind Brighton, Edinburgh and Bristol.
