St. Joseph's is the oldest Catholic Church in the city of Southampton.
Of course, Titanic had a large number of Irish and Italian crew members, the majority of which would have been Catholic.
Members of Southampton's Italian community raised money for a memorial to those who worked in the restaurants on the vessel - a number of which were Italian.
They chose St. Joseph's as the best place for the memorial, which is on a table inside the church.
Bugle Street was also home to some of the crew on the ship.
