HE’S on a mission to boost funds for vital cancer research, walking the length and breadth of the UK.
Yesterday Matt Wallace, who has given up his job and home to embark on his mammoth challenge, made it to Southampton to meet the city’s scientists working to win the war against cancer.
The 30-year-old, who set off from John o’Groats last September, stopped off at the Southampton Cancer Research UK Centre to meet Professor Peter Johnson and lead research nurse Anne Croudass.
Matt, from Oxford, is now over half way into his charity quest, launched afer a family friend was diagnosed with the illness and has so far raised around £15,000 for cancer research.
