CHRIS Jennings is keeping all his options open to get earning again after four months unemployed.
The 20-year-old, pictured, would love to get back into a trade and into work.
He said: “I’m after anything , really. I’ve got a Level 1 diploma in business and ICT from Southampton City College.
“I’ve also got a CSCS card to work in construction, so I can do labouring.”
Chris, who lives in Woolston, Southampton, did start a carpentry apprenticeship but was forced to pull out after he injured his nose and fell too far behind.
He has tried his hand at door-to-door sales but found that was not for him. He has previously worked in McDonald’s, too, but has been out of work for four months now.
The former Chamberlayne College of the Arts pupil has two GCSEs. He has also completed a short course in painting and decorating and bricklaying to get a bronze award with The Wheatsheaf Trust He added: “I’m completely flexible but I can’t find any work.
“Most places want you to do unpaid training but if you are training you are not entitled to your Jobseekers’ Allowance and I need that to live on.
“I’ll do anything to get a wage.”
