Specialist search teams were this morning delving through large ponds looking for a possible murder weapon used to kill grandmother Delia Hughes.
Police are set to spend all day scouring four ornamental ponds in Ocean Village , just a short walk from where the 85-year-old's body was discovered almost two weeks ago.
Mrs Hughes had been killed by several blunt force blows to her head.
She was found by her daughter and son in law in the bedroom of her ground floor flat in Atlantic Close just before 8pm on Saturday August 18.
