TWO James Bond stars swapped stories about legendary 007 Sir Roger Moore during a visit to one of Hampshire's top attractions.
Eunice Gayson and Shane Rimmer have both written their autobiographies and took part in a book-signing session at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, which is celebrating 50 years of Bond movies.
They were joined by Lymington-based stuntman Paul Weston, who has worked on several of the films.
Eunice played Sylvia Trench, Bond's girlfriend in the first two movies films, Dr No and From Russia with Love, starring original 007 Sean Connery.
Shane's roles included a nuclear submarine commander in The Spy Who Loved Me, Sir Roger's third outing as the international super-spy.
Shane said: “Roger was great fun - too much fun. Sometimes it was difficult to concentrate on what you were supposed to be doing.
“He was an amazingly humble fellow who thought he was very lucky to be involved in film work.
“He was quite realistic about his acting, saying he was no Laurence Olivier. But he was always very well received wherever he went and even more so now because of his UNESCO work.”
Eunice starred opposite Sir Roger in The Saint in the 1960s.
Eunice, Shane and Paul were about to visit the Bond In Motion exhibition in the main museum building when the fire alarm went off.
The building was evacuated for about 15 minutes but it turned out to be a false alarm.
