POLICE have released the names of the two people found dead in Hampshire - with a man charged with murder due to appear in court today.
Geoffrey Hibbert, 61, and Michelle Caroline Hibbert, 29, of Buckland Avenue in Basingstoke, were found by officers just before 2am on Father's Day, Sunday, June 20.
A man has been charged with murder in connection with the deaths of the husband and wife.
Stanley Elliot, 52, of Kiln Road in Sherborne St John, was charged with their murder on Tuesday.
He is due to appear before Basingstoke Magistrates' Court today.
A heightened police presence remains in the area at this time as officers carry out more enquiries in relation to the investigation.
Chief Inspector Matthew Reeves said: “This is a shocking incident, and I understand that members of the local community will be concerned.
“We have a number of officers working hard at the scene, and there will be an increased police presence in the area.
“If you have any concerns, or information, please feel confident to approach one of our Neighbourhood Policing officers as they are on patrol in the area. Alternatively, if you have information please give us a call on 101 quoting Operation Carnation.”
