A search is underway for a man wanted on suspicion of murder. 

Police want to speak to Georgian Constantin following the death of Valentina Cozma, 40, on Thursday, February 9.

Officers were alerted to a fire at a property on Campbell Road, Stoke-on-Trent at about 3.10pm.

Georgian, 42, who is from Stoke, also has links to Southampton

Police are urging anyone who knows his current location to contact them immediately as he is wanted on suspicion of murder.

Detective Superintendent Nicki Addison, of Staffordshire Police, said: “Officers from across the force are working hard to trace Georgian. Could you help?

“We are urging anyone who can help us to locate him to get in touch as soon as possible.

“We believe Georgian has travelled to London and also has links to Southampton.

“Members of the public should not approach this man, but if you see him, please contact us immediately on 999.”

Police want to speak to anyone who was in Campbell Road between 2pm and 3.30pm on Thursday.

Officers have been making house-to-house enquiries and searching for evidence in Fletcher Road, Flax Street, Gable Street and Keary Street.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation is urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident 440 of February 9.

Alternatively, they should call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
