LOCALS are being offered the challenge of a lifetime to raise money for charity.
Fire-walking has been practised for thousands and years and in some cultures is a rite of passage or display of strength and courage.
And now the Wessex Cancer Trust is inviting people to take on the challenge to get involved with this unique event.
People can walk over the hot coals at the April 27 session, which has seen the charity team up with UK Fire Walk.
Participants looking to get involved will be given full training on the night. Registration is £30 per person and hot coal walkers must raise a minimum of £100.
It takes place in Southampton Guildhall Square between 6pm and 11pm.
