A DONKEY was rescued by firefighters after she got her head stuck in a metal gate.
Mable, a three-year-old jenny donkey became trapped in a metal gate after she tried to stick her head through the gap in Emery Down.
He owners called for help at 9.39am this morning and crews from Hampshire Fire and Rescue animal rescue and a fire crew from Lyndhurst arrived on scene to help set her free.
A team from Celtic Equine Vets were in attendance alongside the owner.
Mable had to be sedated in order for he crews to use a pedal cutter to release her.
Mable was successfully released at around 10.40am and was left in the care of her owner.
