AN army of volunteers has come to the rescue of youngsters in Fareham.
The popular Snap discos are to return this month, after they were forced to stop due to a lack of helpers.
The ‘Say No and Phone’ dance club provides alcohol-free and drug-free dance nights for young people aged between 11 and 16.
Councillor Arthur Mandry, executive member for public protection in Fareham, said: “These nights were previously led very successfully in Fareham by Hampshire Constabulary until they had to be postponed due to the lack of volunteers.
“I am delighted that Fareham’s Community Safety Partnership has taken over the running of the dance nights, which I am sure will be as popular as they were before.”
The first disco will be held at Ferneham Hall, on Friday, from 7pm to 10.30pm. Tickets cost £6. Call 01329 231942.
