Three nights of live music in stunning grounds are among the events set to take place at Exbury Gardens this August. 

An outdoor concert by 21st Century Queen will kick off the three-night Exbury Festival of Music from August 24 to 26, which will also feature performances by Motown by Moonlight and 21st Century Fleetwood Mac.

Visitors will also be treated to falconry and donkey days, a family dog show, craft workshops, and thousands of flowers looking their seasonal best.

Picnic in Exbury’s beautiful grounds and then watch a show with stunning vocals and live musicians to kick off the August bank holiday weekend.

Activities for younger visitors include Donkey Days on August 9, 17 and 22 when children can learn about the animal that is synonymous with the New Forest National Park. Hosted by experts Kelly’s Donkeys, these special events will enable young visitors to meet and ride these wonderful braying beasts.

Furry four-legged friends of the canine variety will take centre stage on August 4 with a Devoted to Dogs Day. Visitors can enter their pooch in a Family Dog Show, organised by the expert team at The Family Dog Club, who will also be giving their top tips on training and dog behaviour.

If feathered creatures are more your fancy, two Falconry Days (August 3 and 18) will include flying displays and birds of prey on show with respected falconer Toby Puddle.

Other activities include make a mini garden (August 10, 16, 31), bird box (August 2, 14 or 29) or bug hotel (August 7 and 23), a willow workshop (August 12), woodturning demonstrations (various dates throughout the month), heavenly hydrangeas tour (August 4 and 30), and an art exhibition (until August 28).

Exbury Gardens‘ famous blooms will also be at their summer peak with the Herbaceous, Centenary and Sundial Gardens looking their flower-power best.
