A HAMPSHIRE father died after taking an overdose, an inquest heard.
Police were called to the home of Neil Murchie, 45, of Brunel Road, Southampton, when his colleagues became worried that he had not turned up for work.
When they broke into the house, they discovered Mr Murchie, who had been suffering from depression, unconscious in his bedroom.
Southampton Coroner’s Court was told that a suicide note was also discovered.
He was taken to hospital, but died four days later from brain injuries from the overdose.
Coroner Keith Wiseman recorded a verdict of suicide.
