A MAN got his wish yesterday as he was sent to prison instead of carrying out community work.
Janusz Wicher, 30, of Primrose Road, Bassett, had been given a six-month and two-week suspended sentence with a 150-hour community order for theft, actual bodily harm and failing to surrender to bail, but told police he wanted to go to jail.
Judge Peter Henry activated six months of the suspended sentence.
