SOUTHERN Electric workers have completed a 26-mile charity walk to raise funds for Naomi House.
Staff from the company’s Basingstoke office hiked from Winchester Cathedral to Salisbury Cathedral, finishing in around eight hours.
They raised £450 for the Sutton Scotney hospice, which cares for children with life-limiting conditions.
Metering clerk Nadine Hawkes said: “Half of us were doing the walk for the second time and even though it was hard work with the muscle pain and blisters we were looking forward to it and even managed to persuade others to join us.”
It costs just under £7m a year to run Naomi House and its sister site jacksplace, which looks after teenagers and young adults.
