DETECTIVES are investigating the stabbing of a man in a street attack.
The 20-year-old was walking along a path between Tesco and Winnall Manor Road in Winchester when he was stabbed once in the left arm from behind. No money or valuables were stolen in the incident on Saturday, shortly after 8.30pm.
The victim, from Winchester, was taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital and admitted overnight.
The attacker, who fled, is described as white, wearing a dark-coloured jacket and tracksuit bottoms with three white stripes down the sides. He also had a hood over his head and a black scarf covering his face.
