A MUSIC marathon will take place at O’Neils pub in Winchester this weekend.

Around 18 bands will play at the watering hole from 1pm to 12am on Saturday and 10am to 12am on Sunday.

It is hoped the event will raise thousands of pounds for Winchester based Naomi House children’s hospice and Cancer Research UK.

There will also be an art exhibition, various raffles and a charity auction on Sunday evening which will include a signed pair of boxing gloves from Welsh boxer Joe Calzaghe.

Live music will start at 1pm on Saturday at the pub in the High Street. Entrance is free but donations are welcome.
