A POPULAR Hampshire primary school has been declared "outstanding" gaining top marks across the board.
Hook-with-Warsash C of E Primary School in Warsash received the top grade from the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted).
Inspectors praised its outstanding leadership, management, teaching and pupil achievement.
They noted how everyone within the school community displayed strong teamwork and commitment to ensure the 421-pupil primary moved forward.
Children were found to enjoy an excellent start to their education at the school and by the time they left had achieved higher than average standards in maths, English and science.
Teaching and learning were found to be outstanding with teachers having very high expectations and making learning enjoyable.
Inspectors also praised pupils for making a very good contribution to school life by taking on different responsibilities such as running the school office at lunch-time. The school's head teacher, Christopher Hines, paid tribute to the whole school community for the outstanding report.
He said: "Staff work enthusiastically to provide the best possible education for all children.
"The governing body brings an excellent range of skills to the school, the parents and carers offer enormous support and the pupils who are committed to high achievement enjoy their time at our primary school."
