YOUNG pupils came up with plenty of ideas for the new uniform that they could end up wearing in years to come.
Children from Hollybrook Juniors' and Shirley Juniors' spent an afternoon at Bellemoor School in Shirley sketching and presenting their designs.
A new uniform will be introduced at Bellemoor when it becomes mixed in September next year and takes on the new name of Upper Shirley High School.
Head teacher of the boys' school Cassie Ellins, pictured with pupils, said the day, which was also organised by Solent Skill Quest, had been superb.
"All of the pupils worked really hard and enthusiastically and are going to be a real part of shaping the future of the new Upper Shirley High School.
"The standard of work that has been produced is outstanding and the pupils thoroughly enjoyed their day, excellently supported by Bellemoor prefects."
