A SOUTHAMPTON college is to spend £250,000 during the next academic year to build on its existing computing network.

Taunton's College will see two hundred new computers available for classroom use and the specialist music technology suites and digital media rooms expanded.

The IT infrastructure is also being upgraded and digital projectors will be made available in the vast majority of classrooms.

College IT manager Tony Whitmore said: "Work will start very soon so that the college is ready to provide its new services in September."
