THEY got very muddy but for a group of Southampton Solent University students it was one of the country's most enviable work experience placements.

They are now recovering from their stint at the Glastonbury Festival where they helped to project images of the star performers onto giant screens.

The BA (Hons) Film and Television students filmed the East and West dance stages, projecting live output onto huge screens supplied by BSc (Hons) Media Technology students, who set up and ran outside broadcast units.

They also made video interviews of some top names - including Zoe Ball and her husband Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim).

The students are now preparing for the Glade Electronic Music Festival in Aldermaston, on July 19, where one of their roles is to produce the official event DVD.
