HOWLS of delight filled the corridors of Cams Hill School in Fareham, as pupils finally received their GCSE grades.
After weeks of nervous waiting, hundreds of students gathered to receive their brown envelopes and discover if all their hard work had been worth it.
Every pupil at the Shearwater Avenue school achieved at least five A*-G grades, and the excited chatter and congratulatory hugs revealed most were pleased with their results.
Headteacher David Wilmot said he was delighted with the achievements.
"Every year group is different, and they have been great. I'm really proud of them and the teachers,'' he said.
"I came to school with a spring in my step today because everybody has achieved something, and that is the most important thing."
Amy Wakefield, 16, was one of those celebrating, after picking up five A grades, four Bs and three Cs. She said: "I'm really pleased, because that's better than I was expecting."
