The Gregg is a school where “relationships between staff and pupils, and between pupils themselves, are outstanding in a climate of openness and trust” – not our words, but those of the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) following the School’s inspection in February 2011.

Situated on the eastern outskirts of Southampton, we offer an independent education where a family-orientated, caring ethos is at the heart of our school community.

Our small size is a great strength – there are currently 322 students aged 11-16 on roll – we value our students as individuals, aiming to develop positive self-images, mutual respect and self-confidence. Expectations are high in all areas of school life, each child being encouraged to fulfil their maximum potential.

We are delighted that, in each of the four areas assessed by the ISI (the success of the school, academic and other achievements, pupils’ personal development and the effectiveness of governance, leadership and management), The Gregg School was judged to be “Excellent” in each.
