The high street clothing retailer M&Co is to start shutting its stores, with some branches closing in as soon as a week's time.
It comes after the chain, previously called Mackay’s, fell into administration for the second time in two years in December 2022.
Administrators at Teneo put the business up for sale with an auction deadline for interested buyers.
Their brand and intellectual property were sold to Yours Clothing but the stores weren't and are set to close.
When are M&Co stores set to close?
The Sun reported that the M&Co branches that are set to close first are the stores at Wick and Fort William.
The closures have been confirmed on both stores' Facebook pages for Saturday, March 25.
After that, the branch in Thurso will be the next one to shut on Tuesday, March 28.
Six stores will then close on Saturday, April 1 in Lewes, Gosport, Beccles, Belper, Newquay and Lerwick.
All 170 M&Co branches will close at some point, but these are the first few to be confirmed.
M&Co has been running a huge 30-60% off closing down sale online and in stores in recent weeks to help shed any remaining stock.
People will need to act fast if they want to get any clothes because once the items are sold they're gone forever.
You can find your closest M&Co store by visiting the retailer's website and using the store locator tool.
