Tom ‘Kong’ Watson will get another bite at the UFC cherry after being confirmed to fight at Wembley Arena next month.
The Southampton mixed martial arts specialist suffered a disappointing defeat in his first outing for the huge global franchise of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
But his all action style and army of fans has guaranteed him another chance to stake his claim for a place amongst the sport’s elite competitors.
Watson will take on Stanislav Nedkov on Saturday, February 16.
He said: “I can’t wait to compete in the UFC again. Pitting myself against the top mixed martial artists in the world is an honour.
“I was disappointed not to win on my debut in Nottingham but that has only made me more determined to secure the victory in London on February 16.
“London is just an hour from my hometown of Southampton so it’ll be great to have so many friends and family at Wembley Arena watching my hand raised at the end of the bout.”
