Saints defender Ryan Dickson is poised to join League Two side and potential Capital One Cup finalists Bradford City on loan until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old has not played for the club in more than a year, and a deal is now understood to have been agreed to send him to Valley Parade for the remainder of the campaign.
Dickson, who had loan spells at Yeovil and Leyton Orient last season, has travelled north and is expected to complete the formalities of the move on Friday.
The left-back is not cup tied, meaning he could potentially play for the Bantams in the second leg of their League Cup tie against Aston Villa later this month, with Phil Parkinson’s side holding a surprise 3-1 lead following their heroics earlier this week.
Bradford are also closing in on a Wembley berth in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, where they have reached the northern area semi-final.
