AFC TOTTON’S injured frontman Dave Allen must wait a month before discovering his likely return date.

The versatile midfielder/striker has broken the outside of the fifth metatarsal bone on his right foot and is currently wearing a plastic boot to protect it.

He visited a fracture clinic on Friday but, at this early stage, they cannot be specific about the length of the healing process.

Allen, who joined the Stags from Bashley during the summer, reported: “I’ve got to wear the boot for four weeks at least and then go back for an X-ray and an update. I will probably know more then.”
