JORDAN Chiedozie made a big impression on his AFC Totton debut last night.

The on-loan AFC Bournemouth striker scored one and made one as the Stags brushed aside Southern Premier basement boys Kettering Town 4-0 at a chilly Testwood Stadium.

Totton opened the scoring on 25 minutes when skipper Carl Pettefer won the ball in midfield and fed Chiedozie, who crossed for Richard Gillespie to bury from close range.

Top scorer Gillespie, pictured right, weighed in with another four minutes before half-time, flicking the ball over his shoulder as he fell backwards after Kettering had failed to clear a corner.

The visitors briefly came into it at the start of the second half and Totton had a let-off when Nathan Hicks missed his kick in front of goal.

But the Stags quickly began to boss proceedings again and eased 3-0 up on 69 minutes when defender Luke Whitley stabbed home a loose ball – his first goal for the club.

Chiedozie’s big moment arrived three minutes later with a goal made in Bournemouth.

Fellow Cherries loanee Bailey Cargill crossed from the left and the youngster confidently fired home before going off to a standing ovation from the 229 crowd.

It wasn’t until the 90th minute that Stags keeper Gareth Barfoot made his first real save, blocking Hicks’s point-blank effort with his feet.

Totton are 13th, three points and three places adrift of south coast rivals Gosport Borough who were held 0-0 at home by Frome Town. Alex Pike’s men have now gone 13 league games unbeaten.
