JIM Freeman was a high flyer during his business life – now he has hit the high spots in bowls as president of the New Forest BA for 2013.
Jim is a one-club man, having taken up the sport in 2001 at Totton and Eling following the death of his wife. He has not forgotten the kindness shown to him during a sad time.
The 79-year-old said: “I was welcomed into Totton and Eling Bowls Club at a very low period of my life and to this day I am so impressed with the friendliness within the bowls clubs and the sport of bowls.
“While I remain healthy I will contribute all I can to my club and to bowls to repay some of the kindness the sport has shown me.”
