Grzegorz Rasiak revealed the secret behind his stunning return to the goal trail at Leeds - his wife Bozena told him he had to score!
The Polish hitman celebrated his return to the Saints starting line-up after a rib injury by netting twice in the 3-0 romp at Leeds.
It was Rasiak's first goals since he netted a double in the 3-2 win at Burnley back on September 22.
Since then, he had gone over eight hours in the league without scoring and had also failed to score in two internationals and a Carling Cup tie.
Rasiak only returned to full training last Thursday after picking up the rib injury at Notts County that forced him to miss two Championship games and start a third, at Sunderland, on the bench.
After Saints' Leeds stunner, he revealed the secret of his success.
"When I left my house on Friday my wife told me I had to score because I was coming back after away games where we didn't get points not very happy," he said.
"She said it was better for the team if I scored and I did it.
"I have a long journey home but my wife's parents are over for a day so I can enjoy that now."
