Saints have officially released images of their new home and away kits for next season - and it showed yesterday's leaked photo was correct.

Supporters were furiously debating the merits of the new home shirt yesterday after fans started sharing a supposed image of it on social networking sites and the Saints Web forum before the Daily Echo website ran the story.

It turned out the image was correct and that Saints have not returned to their red and white stripes for the first strip to manufactured for the club by Adidas.

Instead the shirt is largely red.

The away kit, as rumoured, is black.
