Toby Lambert and Kath Bailey secured a Winchester Athletics Club double in the Lordshill 10k.
The annual event, which started and finished at the Ordnance Survey Offices in Adanac Park in Southampton, involved about 400 competitors.
In hot conditions, Lambert (32:38) was victorious in the men’s race, finishing ahead of Bournemouth AC’s Ian Habgood who was 39 seconds adrift. Justin Thomas of Cornwall finished third in 33:58.
In the women’s race, Southampton AC’s Ellie Monks took the lead early on, but Bailey came on strong to win in 38:10. Valerie Sesto (New Forest) was just four seconds behind in second, while Monks – in her first race over the distance – was third (38:52).
Andy Clements of Poole Runners topped the veterans category in 35:15 while White Horse Harriers’ Tim Hughes claimed the over 60s’ race in 38:07.
Southampton AC won the men’s team prize, while Winchester AC took the women’s honours.
Changes to the race route, which previously ran from the Redbridge Recreation Ground, meant the runners did not have to deal with mud and nettles around the Test Way at Lee.
