David Prutton will be back in the Saints squad for tomorrow's clash with Hull.

Prutton, who was born and brought up in Hull, hasn't figured for the first team since April and has missed all of this season to date after ankle surgery.

However, he came through 90 minutes in a specially arranged friendly with Eastleigh and then completed another match in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Bournemouth on Monday.

Prutton could be playing for his future at Saints in the coming weeks.

His ankle problem was discovered in a medical for a proposed move to Leeds United.

And with his contract up next summer, he still has work to do if he is to stay - though George Burley has said the midfielder can still force his way into his plans.

Prutton's addition to the squad will be the only change.

"The only person who got a knock (against Birmingham) was Claus but we don't think it's too serious, more of a kick," reported Burley.

"David Prutton will be added to the squad.

"He's played two full games in the last fortnight and hopefully everybody is fit and the only change to the squad of the last few weeks is the addition of David.

"Inigo Idiakez is still not quite right with his thigh strain but hopefully he can train next week, but tomorrow is too early for him."
