Olympic gold medallist Dani King MBE helped Hampshire County Council’s Calshot Activities Centre celebrate its 50th anniversary today.
Dani, who is from Hamble-le-Rice in the Borough of Eastleigh won the cycling team pursuit gold at the London 2012 Olympics.
To mark Calshot Activity Centre’s Golden anniversary, she raised a special flag at the New Forest based venue along with some of the Hampshire Games Makers, the volunteers at the London 2012 Olympics.
Dani said: “It was really nice to be back at Calshot to help celebrate their 50th birthday. Hampshire County Council supported me through their Hampshire Talented Athlete Scheme, and it's great to hear that they are still supporting sport, from community level through to young professional athletes.”
