FORMER Saint Paul Telfer will quit Glasgow Celtic next summer - to return to Winchester!
The full-back is currently living away from his family and wants to return to their Winchester home.
The 35-year-old, currently in his second season at Celtic, admits he may quit football if he does not find a club closer to home.
Telfer said: "My contract is up and even if there was an offer of another year I won't be staying.
"I feel fit enough to play on, but my family couldn't settle and are already back down south, so if a club came in I'd look at that.
"All the talk is about Shaun Maloney and Aiden McGeady but I can also leave on a Bosman at the end of the season. I might slip away.
"Seriously, I will leave because it's not ideal being away from my family and I went a month without seeing my son.
"He has just started school so doesn't really appreciate what his dad has up in Scotland.
"He's more interested in Scooby Doo than football.
"If I stop playing I'm not sure what I'll do - but not coaching."
