Ryad Boudebouz says he would consider a move to Saints.

The 23-year-old Souhaux star and Algerian international is the latest of a string of attacking wide midfielders to be linked with the club and responded to the reports in the French media by confessing he would be interested in a switch to St Mary’s.

He said: “I have a contract until 2014 here so let's see what the club will say, I am open to talk.

"My dream has always been to play in England or Spain.

"To be linked with Southampton is interesting; it is everyone's dream to be linked with good teams in big leagues in Europe.

"Southampton has a good history in the Premier League but I have a contract with Sochaux who is like Southampton in France."

Saints have also been linked with a move for Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella.

The 30-year-old striker, who has been capped 25 times by Italy, is understood to be surplus to requirements at Juventus.

Norwich are believed to have sounded out a potential £6m move for the striker but his wage demands, reportedly around £40,000 a week, also need to be taken into account.
