Gary Hunt has claimed Great Britain's first medal of the FINA World Championships after coming second in the high diving in Barcelona.
Hunt is the three-time Red Bull World Series champion and was one of the favourites coming into the competition at Port Vell.
Hunt, from Southampton but based in Paris, held a 38.30-point lead over nine-time World Series champion Orlando Duque going into the final round.
While the Colombian produced a well-executed dive, it appeared Hunt was on course for the world title before a poor entry scuppered his title hopes at the death.
Hunt lost out by just 0.90 points with 589.30pts with Matt Cowen fifth and Blake Aldridge in fifth.
This is the first time the World Championships has included high diving in its programme with the men going off a 27metre platform and the women off 20m.
