Hampshire’s boys and girls athletics teams finished sixth and seventh respectively at the first Derek Brookes U13 Inter Counties Meet in London.
The two teams achieved six podium finishes overall.
Southampton AC, Basingstoke & Mid Hants, Portsmouth, Aldershot & Farnham District, Havant and Isle of Wight, along with members from Jersey Spartans, all competed for Hampshire.
William Westmacott ran 12.23s to take the sprint hurdles title, with George Rosam securing bronze.
Javelin thrower Kameron Duxbury finished with a silver for the B string with a 31.42m throw. A team javelin thrower Joshua Wise came fourth with a pb 34.00m.
The girls discus saw Samantha Callaway and Ariela Richardson both finish in the top three with pbs of 25.19m and 27.51m respectively. 200m runner Amber Clare was third, finishing behind two of the best juniors in the country with a pb of 27.30s.
Sophie Laughton ran a 29.49s race for the B side. Florence Gothard (800m) and Josie Czura (1500m) both battled back to take points after falling over early on. In the boys 200m, Rosam finished ninth after carrying an injury and Jake Tucker was sixth in the B string. Ben Le Rougetel was joint fourth in the high jump with Constance Barnes finishing seventh for the girls. In the 70m hurdles, Olivia Allbut was fourth in 12.04s and Laura Spencer fifth in 12.91s.
In the relay, Lorna Dockerill, Tallula Norman, Clare and Laura Spencer were eighth in 55.63. The boys relay team of Jake Tucker, Westmacott, Ben Holdsworth and Christian Norton also finished eighth.
