Frazer Richardson has joined Middlesbrough, following his release from Saints at the end of last season.
The right-back was not offered a new deal at St Mary's and has now been picked up by the Championship outfit.
Richardson, 30, moved to St Mary's in 2010 from Charlton and went on to make 68 appearances for the club.
However, he lost his place in the team to Nathaniel Clyne after Saints won promotion to the Premier League.
