Rickie Lambert had a dream England debut - scoring with his first touch.
The Saints was introduced 67 minutes into the clash with Scotland at Wembley with the scores level at 2-2.
It took him just three minutes to get his first touch, and with it his first international goal.
Leighton Baines hit an outswinging left footed corner, Lambert was left unmarked and arrowed a header into the bottom corner to send Wembley wild.
Lambert almost had another reason to celebrate as he hit the post in injury time.
It was an incredible conclusion to the match, which Scotland had twice led through James Morrison and Kenny Miller, only to be pegged back by Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck before Lambert scored the winner.
