AT A time when match organisers are lucky to get 30 anglers turn out for a weekend fixture it showed the respect TVAC stalwart Bob Wyeth commanded when 56 turned out midweek for the Bob Wyeth Memorial Match at Mike Smith's Hordle Lakes.

Smith donated the lake for the match organised by Terry Hiscock and Gary Naylor, while Homestores, Poingdestres, Wessex Angling, Shergolds Carp Cabin, Tightlines, Christchurch Angling Centre, Ringwood Tackle, Bournemouth Lodge, Reel Care, Tackle Up at Fleet, Reids Tackle and Euro Bait put up raffle prizes.

The venue was bang in form with 39lb 9oz the bottom winning weight from the eight sections, while 63lb 1oz was needed to frame.

Dorset Raiders' Jem Turner took a huge 84lb 1oz of carp to 5lb from Tench Lake, fishing down the middle on pole and corn over pellet, to edge out Dave Moody, who took 82lb 4oz of small carp on the pole and maggot from Canal Lake. Terry Franklin was third with 70lb 12oz.
